Accepting the definition of Stewardship – ‘utilizing and managing all the resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation’. All activities therefore reflect an understanding of God’s sole ownership of all things, and subsequently the responsibility of each member of our congregation to utilize his/her many gifts and talents as good stewards of the Lord.
Areas of Responsibility
- Finance: overseeing all financial aspects of the congregation. Devise a Stewardship Plan for the congregation, where Christ’s disciples are developed to freely give of their time, talent and treasure to the work of Christ in and through His church.
- Property: on-going and annual maintenance/review process for Sanctuary, Church Hall, Vehicle and Manse. Manage the funding for the needs of the church whilst maintenance is provide inclusive of all equipment and other assets of the church.
- Local Overseas Missions: manages the annual giving toward the agreed missions of the church – both locally and overseas.
