Worship is a dialogue between God and God’s gathered people, is participatory – both local and universal, and is directed through the Holy Spirit. Services must be built on Holy Scripture, designed to be an experience of God’s glory and honour, in the name of Christ and in the body of Christ.
The Worship MAT is involved in discerning, organizing and implementing various forms/types of worship experiences that are life giving, transforming, enabling and dynamic (traditionally grounded, theologically sound, biblically based and Spirit led).
Experiences which through Spirit-led liturgy, give opportunities for those who attend Services to encounter God in renewing and refreshing ways; utilizing intergenerational involvement and incorporating the different art forms.
General Worship opportunities
- Collaborate with the Minister to ensure that the order of worship and the administration of the sacraments meet the needs of the Congregation
- Promote intergenerational involvement in worship
- Oversee the contents and production of the Sunday bulletin/order of worship
- Develop/streamline policies for ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings and funerals
